Indian investors granted access to U.S. market

Indian investors granted access to U.S. marketIn a major development, NSE has announced what many investors were eying for the past several months. The National Stock Exchange has announced that the Indian investors will now have access to the U. S. stock market as NSE has aptly decided to start trading in futures contracts trading at Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) and S&P 500 - the two major indices of the US market.

In fact, the Indian stock exchange also has bullish plans for the Nifty which is NSE's benchmark index comprising the 50 blue-chip stocks that would be traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange of the U. S.

Though, this arrangement is still subject to regulatory approvals from both the countries but this announcement came in a joint statement from NSE and CME. While the arrangement will give an access to new markets, both the exchanges have signed a MoU wherein both the parties will be working closely with each other and cooperating when it comes to distribution of financial products and services.

NSE's affiliate India Index Services and Products Ltd (IISL) has issued and exclusive license to the America and Europe's branch of CME for the trading Nifty's top 50.
