Indian internet traffic soars from 42 to 71 million
A recent report states the increase of online traffic from 42 million to 72 million at present.
The report throws the user base of all the participants who are both active and regular users. Active users are designated as those who surf the net just once a month.
The stats also reveal that there are 52 million regular internet users currently and the increase in demand of internet comes from low economic classes and small towns. As the findings reveal the usage level of internet has risen above other socio-economic classes as well as top cities. With respect to usage time which has also surged from current 9.3 hours per week to 15.7 hours per week.
The sudden surge in the usage levels of web services is due to the better applications, entertainment usage and content delivery. This, in addition to the popular and interesting social networking features such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc has led to attract more users across the nation.
