Indian Currency Closes Flat At 46.76 Vs DollarAfter the three-day slump, Indian currency ended the week on a steady note at 46.76 as against the US currency, on Friday, owing to gains in the stock market.

The Indian rupee bounced back by 13 paise to 46.63 versus the US Dollar during the morning session on intense selling of the greenback by exporters.

Finally, the Rupee marked its closure at 46.76 as against the American currency.

The Indian unit closed at a three-week low of Rs 46.76 on Friday (August 13).

The central banking institution (Reserve Bank of India) on Friday set its reference rate for the US currency at Rs 46.58, down 36 paise as compared to its earlier rate of 46.94.

Even the Euro fell by 49 paise to Rs 60.05 per unit as compared to its earlier closure of Rs 60.54 a unit.

Six month onward US currency was registered at 4.45% as compared to 4.66 on Thursday, and one year was recorded at 3.82% as against 4.02% on Thursday.

The worldwide currencies registered against the Indian unit at the close of the trading session with Euro ending at 59.77/80 a unit (59.80/82), pound sterling at 72.83/84 a unit (72.86/88) and Yen 54.55/57 per 100 units (54.98/99).
