India to take on South Africa in final
India will take on South Africa in the final of the Emerging Players one-day tournament in Brisbane on Saturday. The Australian Institute of Sports will lock horns with New Zealand for third and fourth places in the tournament.
Indian team is likely to face tough challenge by South Africans, who have won eight matches in a row.
South Africa captain Vaughn van Jaarsveld has impressed with his batting throughout the tournament. Cornelius de Villiers picked up five wickets for 15 runs in the last match of league phase against the Australian Institute of Sports.
The South African batting will be tested by Indian spinners. Leg-spinner Amit Mishra and off-spinner R. Ashwin are key bowlers for India to win this match.
Mishra took five wickets for 44 runs in his ten overs against New Zealand on Thursday.
Sudip Tyagi, left-arm pacer Pradeep Sangwan and swing bowler Bhuvaneswar Kumar have also chipped in with some important wickets.
Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane have also played brilliant innings in the tournament.
Skipper S. Badrinath scored unbeaten 81 runs off 84 balls in the match against New Zealand.
