The Indian men's football team has retained 147th place in the latest FIFA rankings, which has been issued on Wednesday.

While among the Asian teams, Indian football has been placed at 23rd place as Indian team has not played any international match since January 2009.

Earlier, FIFA had excluded Indian women’s football team from the FIFA rankings due to their non-participation in the International matches for last 18 months.

At present, Indian men’s football team has been participating in the national camp in Dubai from where they will travel to Barcelona on July 7, to play five practice matches.

Thereafter Indian team will play in the ONGC Nehru Cup to defend their title which will be played in August at Delhi’s Ambedkar Stadium.

Brazil has moved to the first position after winning the Confederation Cup while Spain has slipped to second position as they lost their semi-final match against USA in South Africa.
