India loses to England in a nail-bighting match
The defending T20 champion India crashed out of the ICC T20 World Cup as India lost their match against England last night at the Lords.
In a must win match, Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and invited England to bat first in the super eight round of the ICC T20 World Cup.
England put up a total of 153 runs on the board with the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs with the help of Ravi Bopara (37) and Kevin Peterson (46).
Harbhajan Singh was most successful bowler for India as he took three wickets against England.
Chasing target of 154, Indian team finished 3 runs short on 150/5 in 20 overs. Yusuf Pathan was top scorer for India as he scored 33 runs in just 17 balls.
The man of the match RJ Sidebottom and GP Swann played an important role in restricting Indian batsmen as they took two wickets each against India.
