New Delhi, July 25 : Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram emphatically said India has no role in the unrest in Balochistan province of Pakistan.

Speaking to a news channel Chidambaram ruled out the reports of differences in the Congress Party on Indo-Pak joint statement.

Congress would rally behind Prime Minister Manmohan Singh when the issue comes up in the Parliament, Chidambaram said.

Chidambaram expressed doubts over the extradition of Mumbai terror attack accused Zakir Rehman Lakhvi, and his associates to India. He added that if Pakistan prosecutes them according their law it would be a step forward.

The confession of lone surviving terrorist of the 26/11 attacks Ajmal Amir Kasav would pressurise Pakistan to expedite the trial against the accused in that country, Chidambaram said.

Chidambaram also accused Pakistan of not being sincere in fighting terrorism.

He said that Kasav has admitted most part of the charge sheet, but this kind of attack could not be carried out without the help of the state. Chidambaram asked Pakistan that if possible prove this presumption wrong.

Commenting of the VIP security Chidambaram said that Government wants to review the security given some of the politicians, but it is buckled in the pressure of opposition. (ANI)
