India finishes at third spot in Archery World Cup
Indian men's recurve team including Jayanta Talukdar, Rahul Banerjee and Mangal Singh Champia finished at the third place in the Archery World Cup Stage IV in Shanghai, China today.
Jayanta Talukdar was the best performer for India, who finished at the 10th spot with a total of 1324 points in the FITA qualification round. Banerjee stood at 18th position with a total of 1313 points while Champia scored 1304 points to be at 24th place.
The trio scored 3941 points collectively to place India at overall third place. Korea was at the top spot with 4044 points and France was placed at second position with 3953 points.
Indian team will now face 14th placed Ukraine in the first round of team championship. The four-member Indian ladies' team will start its campaign on Thursday. Oh Jin Hyek of Korea was best individual performer of the day with 1366 points and Lee Chang Hwan of Korea followed him with 1351 points.
