India defeat Bangladesh by 6 wickets
A brilliant hundred by young Indian batsman Virat Kohli has led Indian team to 6 wickets victory over Bangladesh in the last match of the league phase of the tri-nation one day international matches series at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Monday.
Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to field first. Bangladesh managed to score 247 runs for loss of six wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Shakib Al Hasan scored 85 runs, while Mahmudullah contributed unbeaten 64 runs with the bat.
Ashish Nehra took two wickets while S Tyagi, S Sreesanth and Yuvraj Singh took one wicket each.
Indian team successfully chased the target of 248 runs in 43 overs with 6 wickets to spare. Kohli was top scorer who scored unbeaten 102 runs. Gautam Gambhir and Dhoni scored 41 and 32 runs respectively.
Kohli was declared man of the match for his brilliant ton. India will now face Sri Lanka in the final of the tri-series tomorrow.
