India crushes England 3-0 in last league match
The second seeded Indian team has continued their dominance in Women's World Junior Squash Team Championship as they crushed seventh seeded England 3-0 in their final league match in Chennai on Wednesday.
Indian team had already made into the quarterfinals of the tournament where they will play against fourth seeded Canada on Thursday. If India wins the match against Canada, then they will meet the winner of match between sixth seeded Hong Kong and eight seeded New Zealand.
Dipika Pallikal defeated Millie Tomlinson 11-6, 11-5, 11-7 and Surbhi Misra won match against Kimberley Hay 11-9, 11-3, 11-7 to give India lead of 2-0.
Alankamony Alankamony ensured win for India after registering win over Courtice 15-13, 8-11, 14-12, 9-11, 11-7.
The top seeded Egyptian will play against the third seeded Malaysian while seventh seeded England will lock horns with 15th seeded United States of America in other quarterfinal matches of the tournament.
