India bags four gold medals on Day 5 in SAG
India continued the dominance at the 11th South Asian Games as the country added 8 medals in their medal tally including four gold, two silver and two bronze medals on the fifth day in Dhaka on Tuesday.
Indian shooters bagged two gold, one silver and two bronze medals while weightlifters won two gold medals. Cyclist won one silver medal as India lead the medal tally with
15 gold, three silver and seven bronze medals.
Vivek Singh won gold medal in the 25m standard pistol individual event and Indian trio of Vivek, Chandrashekhar Kumar Chaudhary and Harpreet Singh bagged gold medal in the men's 25m standard pistol team event.
Chaudhary also won bronze medal in 25m standard pistol individual event. Mampi, Tejaswini Muley and Shruti Bhatepatil finished second in the 10m air rifle in women's category.
In weightlifting, Sandeep Kumar and Srinivasa Rao Mallisetty finished at the first place in men's 105kg and 105+ kg category respectively. Rajendra Bishnoi won silver medal in the 170km road race mass start.
