Images of much-rumored 13" Retina MacBook Pro leaked
A few days ahead of Apple's October 23 scheduled media event, Chinese language forum Weiphone has recently leaked new images which supposedly are of the still-to-be-released 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display.
The Weiphone-leaked images, via MacRumors, point to the battery cell as well as external connectivity ports - including an SD card reader, two Thunderbolt ports, and HDMI output - of the Retina display-equipped MacBook Pro 13-inch version.
The leaked images, which emerged on Friday, gave some implicit indications of the hardware specifications of the much-rumored laptop. Specifically speaking, the pictures hint at the purported laptop's port configuration, battery cell arrangement and a few other details.
The images - the legitimacy of which has not been confirmed - also include a number of close-up shots which show the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro's logic board, 8GB of Elpida RAM and screen assembly.
What is surprising about the leaked images is that the supposed 13-inch Retina MacBook pro appears to be in working condition; with the pictures showing Windows 7 running on it at 2,560-by-1,600 pixels. This leaked aspect of the rumored laptop marks a kind of substantiation of certain rumors which made rounds in August, claiming that claimed display makers were manufacturing screens with an identical resolution.
