HTC Hero update has been posted by its carrier Sprint, claims an official report.

The HTC Hero update can be put in the latest version of your phone. Sprint’s update is released for HTC EVO 4G and the update is termed in the form of 2.27.651.5 to 2.27.651.6.

For all the HTC Hero users who (obvious enough!) wish want to update it can follow the About Phone  System Updates  HTC software updates and follow the messages.

The update will take five minutes duration and will run in the background and at the point of operation one cannot make any calls or use the phone.

No information whatsoever related to the update has been put on Sprint’s site.
