Tokyo  - Honda is offering a limited edition of the S2000 two-seater sports car on European markets to mark the end of the sports car's production, featuring a Grand Prix white paintwork and graphite alloy wheels.

The paint job evokes the colour first used on Honda's 1964 Formula 1 car. The white exterior has a matching red leather interior.

According to Honda, the S2000 Ultimate Edition marks the end of global production in late June 2009.

In 2008, Honda announced its withdrawal from Formula 1 racing to cut costs. The fate of the team remains uncertain. (dpa)
