According to analyst, the investors can hold the stock with target of Rs 67-68 in the short term.

Today, the shares of the bank opened at Rs 61.50 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The share price has seen a 52-week high of Rs 61.05 and a low of Rs 38.50 on BSE.

Current EPS & P/E ratio stood at 11.70 and 5.23 respectively.

Vijaya Bank, on May 24, lifted up Rs 2.5 billion through Certificates of Deposit (CDs).

The one-year notes were sold at 6.52% many capitalists.

Vijaya Bank stated that it has projected a 21% growth in its total business for the existing fiscal.

The bank's overall biz is eyeing to hit Rs 1,26,000 crore by March next year, including Rs 74,000 crore of deposits and Rs 52,000 crore of advances.

Vijaya Bank's 2010 objectives, under various business segments and other key parameters were firmed up at its Annual Business Plan Meet, which took place at Bangalore.
