H&M Same-Store Sales Beat Forecasts

H&M Same-Store Sales Beat ForecastsSwedish fashion retail chain Hennes & Mauritz posted a second consecutive increase in monthly same-store sales also fuelled hopes of a turnaround in 2010 after the seven-month losing streak in the fiscal year 2009.

Shares of the company also soared the last month records on the basis of turnaround in the sales after the decline in the same store sales on consecutive seven month sale which was driven by the economic downturn.

Company reported 13% increase in the sales as this increase was only in percentage not in actual figures. This increase in the sale was recorded due to addition of sales of new stores.

H&M is planning to expand its footprint in Asia but its largest market remains Germany, where it could soon be facing off against British discount retailer Primark.
