Leading FMCG firm of the country Hindustan Unilever Ltd. has declared its fourth quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2009-10 and it has informed that there has been a rise of 47.14% in the net profit figure of the firm in this quarter.

The company has posted a net profit of Rs. 581.2 crore for the quarter that ended in 31st March, 2010. The net profit was reported to be Rs. 394.99 crore for the same quarter in the financial year 2008-09.

So far as the total income of the firm are concerned, it has raised up to Rs. 4,408.65 crore during the January-March period of fiscal year 2009-10. It was Rs. 4,077.57 crore for the like period last year. There has been a hike of 8% in the total income of the firm this year against last year.

The annual profit after tax of the company was reported to be Rs. 2,202.03 crore for the year under review from Rs. 2,496.46 crore last year. The company's total income stood at Rs. 17,873.44 crore in this year as compared to Rs. 20,829.05 crore a year ago
