Heart risks linked with long work hours
According to leading study that highlighted on the workaholic nature of individual states that people who work more than 10 hours a day are about 60 per cent more likely to develop heart disease or have a heart attack than people who clock just seven hours a day.
It is believed that one who works for more than average working hours is bound to have a short life as the individual may have heart complications. Immense stress is also known to cause problems like heart-strokes, cardiac arrest at an early age.
The lead researcher of the study Dr Marianna Virtanen, an epidemiologist at the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health and University College London said, “If you work long hours, the fact is that you may be exposed to higher stress levels and you do not have enough time to take care of your health.”
