HDIL to launch Cybercity Project worth Rs. 4000 crore at Kochi
Housing Development and Infrastructure (HDIL), through its subsidiary, Blue Star Realtors, plans to launch HDIL Cybercity project at Kochi. The project cost is estimated at Rs 4000 crore.
The mega project will be spread across an area of 70 acres and it will be Kerala’s first integrated township including various facilities for professionals. Cybercity will offer excellent accommodation options for IT/ITES professionals.
HDIL plans to offer residential apartments, villas, schools, shopping malls, multiplex, club house, service apartments and Star Hotel. Kochi has been designated as second most favored IT destination in India by NASSCOM.
The cybercity would provide 60,000 direct and around 1, 50,000 indirect job opportunities at Kochi. The company expects to finish the project over a four year period.
HDIL operates as a real estate development company in India with primary operations in Mumbai metropolitan region. It involves in the construction and development of residential projects; commercial and retail projects; slum rehabilitation and development, including clearing slum land and re-housing slum dwellers; and land development, including development of infrastructure on land and sell to other property developers.
The project's foundation stone will be laid by Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan on January 19.
