H1N1: With 3 more deaths, death toll in K’taka rises to 76
The H1N1 virus turned more deadly on Monday as three more people lost their life in Karnataka, taking the death toll in the state to 76.
According to the reports, two women and a one-year-old baby girl surrendered to the swine flu.
Informing the reporters, the health officials said that the child was admitted to a private hospital in Gulbarga on September 17.
The two other victims included a 22-year-old woman who died on September 14 and a 35-year-old woman who succumbed to the flu on September 16 at a government hospital in Bangalore, the state capital.
All of the three had tested positive for H1N1.
With these three deaths, total number of confirmed swine flu cases in Karnataka has reached to 899.
