Govt finally takes steps on Inflation control

Govt finally takes steps on Inflation controlThe inflation word has been ruling the minds of almost the entire India since the year 2011 has started and the government is just busy making promises. The top officials meeting that had been trying to reach a concrete conclusion for the last 2 days has finally reached one.

The government says it now has a small plan to counter the demon of inflation as it will be keeping a strict eye on the hoarders and black marketers.

It will also be made mandatory that the import and export of essential commodities is kept an eye on. Intensification of purchasing the essential commodities will also be done.

There is also a decision taken for waiving the charges of octroi on local levies that are expected to be opposed by states. A panel will be set up for monitoring inflation headed by Kaushik Basu.

Onions will be sold at Rs 35 per Kg by NAFED and NCCF that will be providing some instant relief. However the government believes that these will provide just temporary relief to the public, the increase in agricultural output is the only lasting solution to check the rise in food prices.
