Google’s China ICP still under the scanner

GoogleGoogle's application to reconsider the pact with Chinese Internet Content Provider (ICP) license is still under the scanner of Beijing government, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in China proclaims.

It was further stated by the world's largest search engine in China, Wan Lijian that the Ministry claims that Google has already posted the application late which makes it impossible to complete the examination in such a short interval (Google gave the application for the renewal of its ICP license renewal last week).

Google's representative Marsha Wang stated that the company still awaits the response from the government, but Google's existing ICP licence continues to be valid until the Chinese government officially refuses to renew it, reports the China Daily. This move will ensure a re-establishment of Google services in China which currently is under review. It is believed to be a dicey situation which only time trial can solve.
