Future Kindle Paperwhite to feature 300ppi screen

Future-Kindle-PaperwhiteWashington, Nov 25 : Amazon is developing a new Kindle Paperwhite e-reader with a high-resolution 300 ppi screen for release in early Q2 of next year.

Amazon's new e-reader, code-named Ice Wine, will be getting a few more hardware improvements, TechCrunch reports.

According to the report, it will bring the company's e-reader displays back into technical parity with devices from competitors, like Kobo.

The new units are said to be lighter than this year's models, despite moving to glass panels.

Amazon is also working on new typography for the device with a custom-built font that's great for reading, the report added.

The company is also including an ambient light sensor that will take readings of the light in the room and adjust the screen brightness to compensate, the report added. (ANI)
