In accordance to the Digitimes, a Taiwanese website, Apple plans to launch a new iPad in the first quarter of 2011. This should have a 5 to 7 inch display.

The cut in size adds with the cut in cost of touchscreen device. The smaller iPad is posed to be launched below the price tag of $400, when compared to the present status the lowest version of the iPad available costs $500. It is a 16GB model with Wi-Fi and no 3G.
