Future group to come up with a line of ethnic wears
India's largest retail chain, Future Group has said that it will come up a line of ethnic wears. This will be done in another six months.
It will be the first time that it will start a whole new brand rather than selling ethnic costumes under its umbrella brand anymore.
Possibly the only retail group that managed to come out unscathed during the recession has taken this step so that it give a fresh new brand and also tap the market in the ethnic segment. Name of the brand is going to be Srishti.
Besides this, it will also be launching a new food brand- Punya. All these are inline with its strategy to add a new private label to its name every quarter.
Talking about this, Santosh Desai, CEO of Future Brands said that the retail firm is expanding its portfolio and in the future many more brands are going to come up.
It expects to generate revenue of Rs. 100 crore by 2015 from each of the brand.
Future Brand owns subsidiaries like Pantaloon Retail and has group companies us League Clothing, Home Solutions (India) and Big Bazaar.
