Firstsource’s profit shoots up
Leading global outsourcing company of India, Firstsource Solution reported on Friday that it has seen a phenomenal increase in its net profit. The same has increased from Rs 30.7 crore in 2009-10 to touch Rs 136.1 crore, a jump of around 343.4 per cent.
For the same period, the revenue of the company was Rs. 1,970-crore, which is 12.7 per cent higher than the figure for the last year.
Talking about the results, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Firstsource, Ananda Mukerji said that the main reason behind the increase of the profit was the outstation collection that the company managed to have.
Besides this, it also saw its marquee client-base also increased. Ananda, further added that Firstsource has seen 8 out of its 10 big clients increasing their engagements with them.
On a quarter- on-quarter basis as well, the company performed well. It saw its net profit jump from Rs. 33.3 crore to Rs. 35.6 crore for the quarter ending December. This is an increase of 6.9 per cent. On the revenue front, the BPO company saw an increase of 3.2 per cent to end at Rs 506.7 crore.
