Evernote updates its iOS apps lineup with a slick redesign On Thursday, the unveiling of a slick new Evernote redesign - which appears to be contemporary yet minimalist - marked the latest update of the iOS apps lineup of the popular digital note-taking service.

The update - which brings up version 5 of the Evernote note-taking app for Apple's iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch - paves the way for a new home screen which boasts faster access to main features. As a result of the update, screen-wide section dividers - namely, Places, Tags, Notebooks, and All Notes - mark the organization of the revamped home screen. With a tap on one of the dividers filling up the complete screen, users can then either tap the Evernote logo in the upper left or drag it down to unfold an accordion-like switch to the tabbed portion view of the homescreen.
