Entrance at Detroit auto show made by Lincoln C concept car

Entrance at Detroit auto show made by Lincoln C concept carIt took quite a long time for the Ford designers to create the latest concept car, the Lincoln C concept car of the future.

Finally, after when the car’s design was locked last spring, makers went under strict observation and amendments for months, and at last Lincoln C concept car of the future unveiled Monday in Detroit.

At the North American International Auto Show, the reporters from around the world were too excited to click and gather information regarding this new baby. The car would be later this week examined by designers and engineers from other automakers, who will also try to reveal the secrets behind its build. The general public will get a glimpse on Saturday.

J Mays, Ford's design chief, while talking about the C, said, “There's nothing that gives you more elation than seeing the reaction on people's faces once it rolls out.”

“The Lincoln C is an attempt to show how a small car can be a luxury showpiece, thanks to elegant design and stylish details. It's about the size of a Ford Focus, but sports a glass roof, center-opening doors and a power train capable of more than 40 miles per gallon on the highway,” he added.

However, there are no indication what so ever, that whether the C — a test-bed for ideas — will ever go into production.
