Ennore Coke recorded profit for the three month period ended March 2010.

During the period under review, the company's profit stood at Rs 36.46 million as compared to a loss of Rs 1.33 million during the same quarter of 2009.

The company's net sales for the quarter fell 52.35% to Rs 321 million, whereas total income for the quarter declined 49.35% to Rs 341.24 million, when compared with the prior year period.

During the period, it recorded an EPS of Rs 2.35.

The company was incorporated as a public limited company on February 25, 1985 to accomplish business of yarn, cloth, fibre and the business of leasing of moveable and immoveable properties.

On Friday, the shares of the company closed the week at Rs 101.35. The total volume of shares traded stood at 162,053 at the BSE. (With Inputs from Agencies)
