Eden to host second test against South Africa
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed on Sunday that Eden Garden will host second test match of the two test matches series against South Africa.
After a long gap of over two years, Eden Gardens in Kolkata will host a test match as last test match played at this ground was in November 2007 against Pakistan. Eden will also host 2011 World Cup matches.
South African team will play two test matches and three one day internationals on their tour of India. The final schedule of the South Africa's tour has not yet been announced.
According to sources, the first test match will be played from 6th February at Nagpur while the second test will start from 14th February at the Eden Gardens. Kanpur, Jaipur and Ahmedabad will host three one day internationals.
South Africa was originally planned to play five ODI matches series against India but on the request of BCCI, South African team agreed to play two test matches on the tour.
