Dutch foreign minister: Israel's new government must work for peace
Amsterdam - Dutch Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen on Wednesday told reporters he hoped the new Israeli government would work towards a solution for the crisis in the Gaza Strip.
Verhagen said he also hoped that a new Israeli coalition government would continue the current peace talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
A two-state solution would guarantee Israeli security within the 1967 ceasefire borders and include a viable Palestinian state, he added. (dpa)
