Doctor Accused of Sexual Assault on Patient

A Mount Sinai Hospital doctor has been accused of sexual assault on a patient when she was not in her senses. The emergency physician at the New York City’s hospital has been charged with giving an additional dose of morphine to the 22-year-old victim after she was already given one dose of morphine by the nurse. The woman went to the hospital on January 11, 2016 due to soreness in her shoulder.

The woman has accused Dr. David Newman of fondling with her breasts and turning back to masturbate and then ejaculating on her face. The woman was conscious, but not able to move. After the doctor’s unethical and illegal act, she was able to collect some the ejaculated stuff in a plastic bag. The doctor is being questioned by the investigators and has also hired a lawyer for the case. The 45-year-old doctor will be charged after the arrival of DNA report. Dr. Newman was posted in Iraq in 2005 and has also written a book named ‘Hippocrates’ Shadow: Secrets From the House of Medicine.’

“This is a matter under investigation and we are fully cooperating with the appropriate authorities. We take this matter very seriously and are conducting our own internal investigation,” according to a statement released by the hospital. Until the investigation is over, the doctor has been restrained from seeing any patients or providing any medical services at Mount Sinai hospital. The statement further said that the hospital’s priority lies in the health and security of its patients.

However, according to the doctor’s neighbors, the charges are absolutely wrong. His 55-year-old neighbor Alex Davies thinks that it is harmful to arrive at conclusions. He added that without knowing the truth, forming an opinion will only harm his career. Also, he hopes that the truth prevails and right thing happens. Dr. Newman has been described as a dedicated father by an unnamed neighbor.
