Delhi Police to use mini robot to tackle terror threatsDelhi Police has informed that it will buy a mini remote-operated vehicle or MROV that can not only detect but also defuse the bombs and explosives. After the fresh threats from the terrorist organizations the city police have been more alert now.

Moreover, the Commonwealth Games are also to be held in the month of October this year.

The spokesman of Delhi Police, Mr. Rajan Bhagat has said that they had a technical valuation of the MROV and this is going to be the first step towards the safety measures.

He has also informed that the price bidding for the MROV is not yet done but it has been expected that it will be done before the Commonwealth Games. The MROV is manufactured in Canada and its primary function is to find and defuse hidden bombs and hidden deadly explosives. Actually this is a robot whose weight is 65 kg, and it can be commanded by a remote within the radius of 500 meters. It can take the weights of around 113 kg.
