Darren Beck lifts the Brunei Open title

Young Indian golfer Gaganjeet Bhullar Darren Beck scored birdie at the third playoff hole to win the Brunei Open title after leaving behind the Indian start golfer Gaganjeet Bhullar at Singapore on Sunday. Bhullar was a strong contestant to win second successive Asian tour title after winning Asian tour title in Jakarta last week.

Beck was six shots off the pace when he started his campaign on the last day of the tournament but he carded six-under-par 65 for a total of 13-under 271 to join India's Gaganjeet Bhullar and Thailand's Boonchu Ruangkit in a three-way playoff round.

Bhullar was able to score only par in the playoff round while Beck carded a 10-foot birdie putt in the next hole to emerge victorious in the tournament. Boonchu carded bogey in the second playoff hole but he was unable to outclass Beck.

After winning the title Beck said that he was not sure to make into the playoff round but he is excited to win the title after scoring six-under on the final day.
