CWG has sold tickets worth Rs. one crore in three days
It has been just three days that the Commonwealth Games organizers have opened the tickets for the CWG for public sales and the committee has been able to rack up close to Rs. one crore from the tickets sales.
With 9,366 tickets were sold, the total revenue for the committee has already crossed Rs. one Crore including the tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies.
The star studded opening ceremony planned at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium is considered to be spectacular event as far the games are concerned. Lalit Bhanot, Secretary General, Organising Committee said that according to its feedback collected from the people of Delhi, every person wants to see at least one game.
It is believed that once the tickets to the big events turn sold-out, people will eventually move towards the relatively less-popular games.
Notably, the committee is planning to sell close to 17 lakh units of tickets with the targeted revenue figure close to Rs. 60 crore.
With Central Bank of India branches and Hero Honda outlets acting as a center for tickets, it is believed that the tickets sales will even go up once the bulk bookings will start by the month of August this year.
