Curry Ingredient May Slow Liver Disease: StudyScientists revealed that curcumin, a major element in turmeric helps to treat liver damage. Curcumin is also said to be useful in treating jaundice as well as blemishes.

This study was carried out by Dr. Anna Baghdasaryan and his fellow workers at the Medical University of Graz (Australia) in corporation with fellow workers from Texas.

This research was backed by National Institutes of Health, PhD Program of the Medical University of Graz and Austrian Science Foundation.

The results of the research were released in a medical journal Gut.
 
This research was aimed to examine a disease in humans known as cholangiopathies.
