Jeera December contract gained Rs 79 and settled at Rs 14431 a kg on the back of lower level buying. As clearer skies in Gujarat have been supporting the sowing activities thus further pressurizing the market sentiments for the commodity. All eyes are now on the sowing aspects that have picked up after skies cleared in Gujarat and Rajasthan as higher acreage is expected in Gujarat and Rajasthan due to good moisture content in the soil. In Unjha, a key spot market in Gujarat, jeera gained 25 rupees to end at 14435 rupees per 100 kg. The contract made intraday low of Rs 14250 a kg and high of Rs 14499 a kg. Support for jeera is at 14288 below that could see a test of 14144. Resistance is now seen at 14537 above that could see a resistance of 14642.
