Officials have said that a suspected bomber was arrested Sunday at the international airport in Pakistan's souther port city of Karachi.

Geo TV reported that the man, a civil engineer by profession, was caught with electric circuits hidden in the cavities of his shoes.

Connecting explosives with the found electric circuits could prepare a bomb, airport authorities have said.

It was reported that the arrested person is a resident of Karachi and he was going to Muscat in Oman by a plane. (With Inputs from Agencies)
