China’s loss might turn out to be India’s gain

The latest what experts have predicted is that India might gain in research and various IT and market services, from the ongoing troubles in China, where Internet search leader Google Inc is threatening to move out.

India is seen as a fast growing economy, where there is no scarcity of skilled population and thus it might be a strategic alternative.

Mr. Kapil Dev Singh, country manager at industry research firm IDC India, feels that India might receive an edge over China for a long time, with its strong and vibrant democracy, ease of doing business and robust legal systems.

But nothing is for sure as yet as there are chances that Google might not exit China, said Diptarup Chakraborti, principal research analyst at global IT industry researcher Gartner.

He added, “It is present in operating systems, mobile, cloud computing and online forms just one part of it operations. India is an important market for it but China is more important.”
