Charlesworth Blames SAI For Quitting
The former technical advisor to Indian hockey, Mr. Ric Charlesworth has blamed the Sports Authority for India (SAI) for his resignation from his post. He condemned the role of hockey federation and said that no foreign coach can work in India under the pressure from sports body.
He said that SAI is a very inflexible body. It unnecessarily intervenes in the matters of sports administration and other related activities. He alleged that the sports body did not disclosed his contract detail in three months of joining. He had passed first three months without any fruitful event.
Mr. Ric Charlesworth ruled out that he had demanded huge money from the sports authority. He had only asked to address the issue the long pending salaries. His only demand was to give him freedom to act but the sports body had not paid attentions to his demands.
He added that he will submit the finding of observation report only after clearing the financial matters. He had submitted total of 10 reports with recommendations. He was not provided top class resources and environment to work as a technical adviser to hockey team. Charlesworth added that he will like to see the progress of Indian hockey in the upcoming national and international games.
