Bush plans to meet world leaders ahead of UN General AssemblyWashington  - US President George W Bush will meet with a host of foreign leaders in Washington this month surrounding the opening of the UN General Assembly in New York.

Bush's first meeting will be with Kuwait's Sheikh Nasser Al-Sabah on September 19, the White House said Friday.

Bush then plans to host Lebanese Prime Minister Michel Suleiman at the White House on September 25 and the following day will meet with Afghan President Hamid Karzai about the troubling security situation in his country.

Bush will attend to UN General Assembly from September 22-24 and will address the body on September 23. In New York Bush will hold a meeting with leaders of Western Hemisphere countries that have signed free trade agreements with Washington.

The White House also announced that Bush with Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus on September 29 and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi at the White House October 13. (dpa)
