Budget 2011-12: High expectations of the "aam aadmi"

Anil-Mathur-Godrej-InterioThe COO of the Godrej Interio, Mr. Anil Mathur has expressed his expectations from the upcoming Union Budget 2011.

This first wish is to increase the ceiling of tax from 1.6 lacs to 2.5 lacs. It will help to increase consumption level of the tax payers. Moreover, it will help the tax payers to improve their savings as well. Now the consumers will have the opportunity to spend more when the inflation has been growing at 8% to 10 % annually.

Secondly, he has mentioned about the abolition of CST. However, the government has tried earlier to reduce CST from 2% to 1%. After that the government had reduced it to 0%. Now it has been expected that if GST will be delayed, then the centre should make CST vat able in this budget. The third wish may be the time bound implementation of GST in this budget.

Mathur has also expected the government to increase the spending on healthcare infrastructure this year. The government should increase the allocation of fund for the betterment of health & family welfare and infrastructure. Spending on renewable energy production and spending in research will be there in the wish list of Mathur and the common people as well.
