BT Acquires Frontline Technologies In Full For $202 Mln
British Telecommunications (BT) announced that it has acquired Frontline Technologies Corporation Ltd, in full, for about $202 million.
The communications solution provider stated that the new company will begin its operations shortly under the new name ‘BT Frontline.’
In a statement, BT told, “In Asia Pacific, BT would conduct business as usual under the BT brand-name. Frontline would operate alongside BT as BT Frontline.”
“By using this co-branding approach, BT Frontline would be able to maintain and leverage the regional brand equity and goodwill of the Frontline name,” the company added.
BT Frontline offers up IT consulting, systems integration, IT infrastructure services as well as IT outsourcing to local, regional and global customers in the financial services, transportation, construction, telecom, education, healthcare and public sectors.
BT Frontline brings around 5,000 skilled and highly-professional people to BT Group.
BT Frontline also has large subsidiaries and associate companies, which will keep on operating under their subsisting trade names that consists of Accel Frontline (India), MDCL Frontline and G-Able Co. Ltd.
It has also established various joint venture (JV) companies as a part of its strategic partnership with Sun Microsystems in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

BT had declared acquiring Frontline during December 5, 2007.
