Britney ropes in Madonna''s tour director

Britney Spears, MadonnaWashington, Dec 24 : Britney Spears has reportedly hired the man who directed Madonna's recent world tour for the promotional gigs of her new album `Circus'.

The 27-year-old popstar has appointed Jamie King in place of the two choreographers, who helped launch her recent comeback appearances.

King has earlier directed and choreographed Britney's `Oops!. I Did It Again' series of live dates in 2000.

Britney hired King to replace Wade Robson, who directed the star in her first major U. S. tour in 1999, and Andre Fuentes, who choreographed for Spears beginning with her
1998 `L''Oreal Hair Zone Mall Tour'.

"Wade and Andre were only hired to choreograph the promotional tour for Circus, which ended in Japan last week," Contactmusic quoted a source as telling U. S. tabloid Life & Style.

King''s representatives at The MCDonald Selznick Associates Agency have posted a statement their Web site, saying: "Britney's back and going on tour to promote her new album Circus! Congratulations to Jamie King who will be the tour's director. Simon Ellis will be the Musical Director for the tour." (ANI)
