London, Dec 26 : Looks like Britney Spears has taken her Madonna `fixation' a step too far-she appeared at an awards function wearing a costume, which looked straight out of the Material Girl's wardrobe.

The 27-year-old popstar was caught `red-handed' when she made her big comeback at a German awards bash last month, where she wowed crowds in a sexy circus-style outfit, reports the Sun.

And the costume in question is a complete rip-off of Madonna's costume from her Sticky n Sweet tour, right down to the fishnets.

However, it's not the first time the chart rivals have hit the stage in matching costumes.

Recently, Britney hired the director of Madonna's `Sticky n Sweet' tour for her `circus' promotional tour. (ANI)
