Branson’s Virgin Presented The White Knight
Virgin Galactic has introduced a new aircraft White Knight. It will cost around $200,000 per seat. It will be used for commercial flights in the space. Virgin Galactic is a famous space tourism company. It was founded by British entrepreneur and adventurer Richard Branson.
The new aircraft, White Knight, was tested at airfield near Edwards Air Force Base. It is provided with a highly sophisticated mother ship to take six tourists in the space. The new aircraft is a new and advanced version of aircraft designed by Burt Rutan. It covers a distance of 300,000 feet in 90 seconds after ignition of engine. Customers will experience zero gravity while traveling outside the atmosphere.
People have shown much interest in the aircraft and almost 100 people has already booked their seats for space trip. White Knight has regenerated an interest among people to travel in the space. Almost an amount of $200,000 (£100,000) has been gathered from people who want to become a part of historic space flight.
Scaled and Virgin have set up a new joint venture, The Spaceship Company. It will work on further improvement in the aircraft and its carbon composite technology.
