Boxers from India clicked at CW championshipThe boxers from the country emerged as strong gold contenders in various categories in the Commonwealth boxing championship.

Indian boxers have already won six gold medals on the final day in Talkatora stadium in New Delhi on Wednesday. They have crossed the record of 4 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals won in the year 2005 in Scotland.

The 2700-capacity was full of spectators and the atmosphere was very cheerful with cheerleaders dancing to the Bollywood tunes.

Paramjeet Samota won the first gold for India in the super heavy (91+ kg) category. Dinesh Kumar won in light heavyweight (81 kg) category and Amandeep Singh triumphed in the light flyweight category.

Suranjoy Singh defeated Mauritius' Oliver Lavigi in the flyweight (52 kg) category in heavily fought fight which had to be stopped by the referee. Jai Bhagwan was successful against Bahamas' Valention Knowles in the lightweight
(60 kg) final to bring another gold for the country.

World No. 1 Vijender Singh (75 kg) emerged victorious at 13-3 against England's Frank Buglioni. Vijender's nose started bleeding in the first round after he faced a punch from his opponent. Vijender was named the best boxer in the tournament and England's Ian Weaver became the most promising boxer of the tournament.

India as emerged as the best team with 36 points ahead of England at 23 points.
