Boston Celtics routs Orlando in NBA
It has been reported that Glen Davis scored 17 points off the bench Saturday in helping the Boston Celtics to a 94-71 rout of Orlando and a 3-0 lead in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals.
Paul Pierce added 15 points and pulled down nine rebounds, Ray Allen added 14 points, and Rajon Rondo contributed 11 points and 12 assists in sparking the Celtics and push Orlando to the brink of elimination.
The report also noted that Boston's stifling defense held the Magic to 36.9 percent shooting from the field and 26.7 percent from beyond the 3-point line. The Celtics outscored Orlando 27-12 in the first period and forced 17 turnovers for the game.
Boston got 12 steals, including four from Rondo, in winning its sixth consecutive playoff game. The Celtics are one win away from their second NBA Finals appearance in three years, they defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2008 Finals.
