Boeing profit hit by fewer deliveriesThe profit of Boeing has fallen by 15% as per the recent quarterly report. It has delivered lesser number of aircrafts in this time period and it has affected the profit of the company.

It has produced $519million for the same period. That means the sales of the company has decreased by 8% to $15.2billion. However, the company is confident to come up with its first ever 787 dream linear airplane by the end of the year despite this profit fall.

This year it has delivered 108 planes which were lesser than that of the number of inclusions in the preceding year. It had managed to bring 121 new air crafts last year. Hence the sales of the company have fallen to 13%. So as the income of its defense arm has slipped by 1%.

As per the analysts, quicker delivery is the key for Boeing. It has an order of 866 Dreamliners from 57 customers. Faster delivery of these jets will make the company to get paid soon. However, some analysts had uttered concerns over the release of the 787 would be pressed back to 2011. The project has been postponed by two-and-a-half years following a chain of hitches with design problems.
