Athens  - A strong explosion that shook Athens early Wednesday caused damage to the building that houses the Greek stock exchange.

One woman was injured by shattered glass, and a number of cars were destroyed, state television reported.

At about the same time, another explosion occurred in front of a ministry building in the northern port city of Thessaloniki, causing minor damage. (dpa)
